20 March it is International Day of Happiness, and to celebrate I'm happy sharing the concept of Happiness Dinners.
The concept of a happiness dinner is easy: Get some family or friends (or reach out and invite some new friends), get some food – home cooked or take away, it doesn’t matter – and then you eat and discuss important matters. Very simple!
The idea behind Happiness Dinners comes from Gross National Happiness USA, which is a non-profit organisation with a mission to increase personal happiness and our collective wellbeing by changing how we measure progress and success, according to their homepage.
International Day of Happiness (Happiness Day) is a global organisation that promotes global awareness around the International Day of Happiness which was established on June 28, 2012, when UN resolution 66/281 was adopted by consensus of all 193 member states of the United Nations. The International Day of Happiness is celebrated around the world every March 20.
So be happy – and invite someone for something to eat and a deep conversation!
